*** A few days before the party, we will reach out to confirm the final estimated headcount of kids (please see minimum charge policy below).
*** Our activity hosts arrive 15-20 minutes before your booked activity time to set up then begin. Our team will set up, guide kids step-by-step through the hands-on activity, then clean up & leave.
*** All children must be present at scheduled time as we begin & end the activity all together (unless activity is confirmed as Station-Style). Staff can wait up to 15 minutes for late guests to arrive; delays beyond 15 minutes will incur a $50 fee. We operate according to a strict timed schedule and often cannot stay longer just because we started late. Late arrivals are welcome to join and complete what is remaining of the activity; they will be included in the final count of kids.
*** We bring 2 additional sets of supplies in case of additional kids, but your final balance will be based on the actual # of kids who do the activity, subject to the minimum policy below.

A 10-person minimum applies to all parties. Your final charge is based on the actual number of kids who participate with regards to the minimum charge. The minimum charge is 3 less than the confirmed # of kids.
How it works:
A child is considered a participant as soon as they join the activity, even if they only complete half or one portion. We try to encourage participation until the end but cannot force children to finish, especially younger kids. Please review age requirements and recommendations before confirming your guest count. Our team uses multiple checkpoints to verify the final participant count.
Example: You confirm 25 kids. The minimum charged will be for 22 (3 less than the confirmed # of kids). If 24 participate, your final balance will reflect 24 kids. If only 20 participate, your final balance will reflect 22 kids (minimum policy is implemented).
Activities last 60 to 75 minutes. If two activities are booked, they will run back-to-back with a 15-minute reset in between activities to change table set up (totaling 2 - 2.5 hours). If you'd like activities to run simultaneously, this will require a station-style setup (+$80).
Timing depends on each child's pace and when they complete their work. Some kids take their time, others finish quickly, so we cannot guarantee a fixed duration for painting. If keeping kids engaged for a specific time period is important to you, we recommend choosing a non-painting activity.
Station-style includes 90 minutes of flexible activity time where kids can come and go from the table. Fee per station is $80. Station-Style is charged as a set # of kids confirmed a few days prior, with 2 sets of extra supplies provided. If you book 2 or more stations, you have the option of stations running simultaneously, staggered or after one another. Station-style fee will apply per station, unless running simultaneously (same beginning & ending time).
Travel fees may apply for events more than 15 driving miles from our base in Burbank; based on total mileage & availability, and will be noted in your estimated total in the email & remaining balance invoice.
15% gratuity applies to parties of 18 or more; otherwise, gratuity is not included but deeply appreciated!
Tables, table covers and chairs are not provided nor available. Chairs are not recommended unless painting. We recommend 6ft standard height folding tables and allocate 10-12 kids per table.
House of Colors is not responsible for any damage, paint or stains to furniture, rentals, clothing or items. We provide aprons for all guests and of course, do our absolute best to clean up spills and prevent messes!
Remaining balance invoices are sent after the party as they are based on the final count of kids who did the activity. The final headcount is tracked by the activity host, then verified by the manager through a series of checks and balances before your balance is sent. Final payments must be made within 24 hours.
*** $75 late fee is accrued each day the outstanding balance is left unpaid. House of Colors will pursue legal action for all balances left unpaid after a certain period of time. Completion of the deposit is acknowledgement of a legally binding contract with HOC and enforces all fees, policies, and rights listed above.
